August Björn is awarded STIM's Scholarship for Composers
Out of 2,320 applicants, August Björn has been selected as one of 144 composers to receive this year’s STIM Scholarship for Composers, an award that supports creative work across the full spectrum of Swedish music. The 2025 recipients span genres from contemporary jazz to pop and experimental music, with fellow awardees including artists such as Joel Lyssarides, Linnea Henriksson, Sarah Klang and Deki Alem.

Johannes Forsberg performs August Björn's Euphonium Concerto
You can now listen to an excerpt of August Björn's Concerto for Euphonium and Orchestra, rearranged for euphonium and piano! The concerto was first premiered in 2021 and was written for the award winning euphonium soloist Johannes Forsberg.
