Sara Aldén
Since 2019, August Björn has collaborated closely with Sara Aldén (vocals) and Daniel Andersson (double bass). In 2022 they released their critically acclaimed EP A Room of One's Own and in 2024 they released the album There Is No Future which won a Swedish GRAMMY for best jazz album and was selected as "the best vocal jazz album of the year" by LIRA Music Magazine.​​​
The group will soon enter the studio to record their next album, expected to be released in spring 2026.
Sara always has a very clear idea about what she wants to express. Most rehearsals start with her bringing me and Daniel a sketch and an emotional direction. Our job is then to turn that into a complete musical arrangement. It's a very fulfilling creative process!
