Sara Aldén
Since 2019, August Björn has collaborated closely with Sara Aldén (vocals) and Daniel Andersson (double bass). In 2022 they released their critically acclaimed EP A Room of One's Own and in 2024 they released the album There Is No Future which won a Swedish GRAMMY for best jazz album and was selected as "the best vocal jazz album of the year" by LIRA Music Magazine.
The group will soon enter the studio to record their next album, expected to be released in spring 2026.
Sara always has a very clear idea about what she wants to express. Most rehearsals start with her bringing me and Daniel a sketch and an emotional direction. Our job is then to turn that into a complete musical arrangement. It's a very fulfilling creative process!
