I found something dark and foreboding in these works, and at the same time I felt comfort and hope... It was a joy to interpret the art of Peter Waldenström in this improvisation and I'm thrilled to share it with you in celebration of Piano Day 2024.

This was the first concert I did after coming back from my hand injury and I remember feeling overwhelmed by the beauty of the moment. To finally be able to play again, after years away from the music scene... It was just a very special and emotional experience for me.

This song really came from my lifelong fascination with guitar playing and from a desire to bring a certain style of guitar accompaniment into my way of accom-panying a melody on the piano. I wanted to express, through the piano, a feeling that I only get when I listen to some of my favourite guitar pieces.

A while back, I was invited together with 23 other pianists to perform the live score for the "The New York Clock", a cutting-edge, 24 hour, silent film documentary of New York City.

Check out this glimpse of my free improvisation, accompanying the film!
